Christ the Teacher Catholic School student activities are an important part of community life. Athletic events help to round out the education of the whole child and also incorporate various members of our extended community. Most of our programs are coordinated through the Diocese of Wilmington Catholic Youth Ministry Office (CYM), and our training programs for the younger students are run in-house to develop the skills of our youngest athletes.
The Office for Catholic Youth Ministry’s Athletic Program is an important component of the comprehensive approach to youth ministry in the Diocese of Wilmington. The purpose of these programs is to promote Christian attitudes while encouraging healthy physical activity. Coaches are provided training and are cleared through a criminal background check process. Registration for sport teams go out through the parent e-mail list before each season and is also provided in parish bulletins for students in our parish Religious Education programs.
