Mrs. Colleen Perkins

Hello!  My name is Colleen Perkins and I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Science here at CTTCS.  It is a pleasure to be a part of the Christ the Teacher community. 

I graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Agriculture – Plant Science, and I have worked as an agronomist and garden guide in the private sector.  When my three children were young I returned to school at UD to earn my teaching credentials.  I currently hold a continuing license and am certified in Delaware as a Teacher of General Science – Middle School.  This is my 25th year of teaching Science!  In addition, one of my educational highlights was becoming a Certified Naturalist through the Delaware Nature Society.

My husband Charlie and I live in Middletown and have three grown children – two daughters and one son.  Ashley is an auditor, Blaine is a chemical technician, and Melissa is an Internet Security Professional (ISP).  I enjoy spending time with family and friends, native plant gardening, bird-watching, and visiting the Jersey Shore.
